Most
items are reasonably priced (below $10),
such as a boatswain’s whistle for $5.00,
used to call commands to the crew during
bad weather (and used in The Sound of
Music). Special effort is made to offer
objects that are both appealing and
affordable for younger visitors as well
as more elaborate gifts for adults.
The shop carries a line of Barlow™ simulated
scrimshaw pieces which make attractive
gifts for any occasion.
During
the holiday season, check out our display
of handmade boat ornaments for those
celebrating Christmas.
Members save 10%. Best of all, your
purchase supports an organization dedicated
to Long Island history and whale conservation.
